OUR OFFICE RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Limiting face-to-face contact
After careful consideration for the safety of our staff and clients, and following advice from our governments, we have decided to limit face-to-face contact during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, effective immediately, the front door to the office will remain locked. We will have a few people in the office, with others deciding to work from home. Our preferred choice of contact over the next couple of weeks will be by phone or email. For signatures that we require to file tax returns, we will be emailing them to you and having you sign them and return them to us by fax, email or dropping them off in the secured drop box at the office.
Getting your information to us
In order that we can continue to operate and meet all reporting deadlines , we are still asking you to bring in your information to us on a timely basis. We have the following options available to you:
- A secured drop box is installed on the wall outside of our office door. Please note that it is limited in size (slot opening is 9.5” by 0.5”) so will only accommodate envelopes. This option is available 24 hours per day.
- An unsecured drop box will be outside our office doors daily from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. This box will be emptied regularly throughout the day (at least every half hour).
- You can continue to scan and email any information we need.
Please ensure that all information delivered to us is in a sealed envelope or box. Envelopes and sealable bags will be in the box for your use.
Announced extensions
As you may be aware, the government has extended the deadlines on personal tax return (to June 1st) and trust tax returns (to May 1st) and payments for individuals and corporation (both to August 31st). We are still waiting to see the details of these extensions. Once further details become available, we will post it on our website at www.seebachca.ca.
